Fox News reached a settlement with the family of Seth Rich, after the network promoted conspiracy theories about the murder of the former Democratic staffer in 2016, The Daily Beast reports.
Rich’s parents sued Fox news in 2018 after the network and its stars like Hannity and Dobbs promoted a fake conspiracy theory that Rich’s murder was linked to the hacking of the DNC emails even though DC police say it was due to a robbery going side ways.

“The settlement with Fox News closes another chapter in our efforts to mourn the murder of our beloved Seth, whom we miss every single day,” Rich’s parents, Joel and Mary Rich, said in a statement.
“We thank everyone who has counseled us and given us strength,” Seth Rich’s parents said, adding, “We now look forward to devoting as much time and energy as we can to family and to preserving Seth’s memory as a blessing.”

A spokesperson for Fox News said: “We are pleased with the resolution of the claims and hope this enables Mr. and Mrs. Rich to find a small degree of peace and solace moving forward.”
Neither party disclosed the terms of the settlement.
