Fundraising group for Republican women shuns Greene and Boebert for being "shameless self-promoters" and "carnival barkers"

A conservative PAC that supports the election of more Republican women to Congress, is once again throwing their support behind every female elected Republican in the upcoming midterms, except for Reps. Lauren Boebert (Colo.) and Marjorie Taylor-Greene (Ga.)

Julie Conway, the executive director for the The Value In Electing Women Political Action Committee (VIEW PAC) told Insider that Greene and Boebert continues to undermine the hard work of elected female Republicans by choosing to be “shameless self-promoters and carnival barkers.”

“While we rightfully celebrate the number of GOP women serving in the House, I’ve always professed quality over quantity. The work of Congress is not a joke or reality show,” Conway said. “Our women have fought too hard for too long to be respected and taken seriously as legislators, policy makers and thought leaders. We cannot let this work be erased by individuals who chose to be shameless self-promoters and carnival barkers.”

“I think that they would rather draw attention to themselves, and really Marjorie Taylor Greene more than Boebert, but they’re cut from the same cloth,” Conway added.

She told Insider that the group has raised and distributed more than $20 million for congressional Republican women since 2010.

Still, its not as if Boebert or Greene especially is strapped for cash. Being self- promoters and carnival barkers is obviously working for them as they raked in millions from Republican donors across the country.

In the first three months of this year, Greene, who was removed from committee assignments after reports of her past comments surfaced showing her encouragement of political violence against prominent Democrats, calling the Parkland massacre a hoax and saying a Jewish space laser caused California wildfires in 2018, raised a whopping $3.2 million.

Boebert, who has used assault rifles as backdrops on zoom calls during congressional hearings and brought a space blanket to President Biden’s first speech to Congress, raised $700,000 during the first quarter.
