George Santos, who claimed to be Jewish, joked about killing “the jews and black”

George Santos' mother wasn't even in the country on 9/11.

Republican lawmaker Rep. George Santos (NY), who lied about his grandparents fleeing the Holocaust, made a joke about Hitler, and the killing of ‘the Jews,’ and Black people in a 2011 post on Facebook, according to Patch.

Santos reportedly commented on a friend’s photo of an apparent military salute in March 2011: “hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh hiiiiiiiiiiiitlerrrrrrrrrrr (hight hitler) lolololololololololololol sombody kill her!! the jews and black [sic] mostly lolllolol!!! Dum”

One of Santos’ former friends took a screenshot of the offensive comment and Santos former roommate Gregory Morey-Parker confirmed to the outlet that the post is real.

Santos’ past comments are resurfacing as the lawmaker is facing increased scrutiny from the media after lying about his personal and professional background.

Santos also claimed that his grandparents fled the Holocaust. But genealogists told CNN that his grandparents were actually born in Brazil and “there’s no sign of Jewish and/or Ukrainian heritage and no indication of name changes along the way.”

Santos is facing calls from within his own party to resign but has refused to do so. He’s getting support from House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) who said his fate should be left up the voters in his district.

Santos has been assigned to two committees in the House. Ironically, McCarthy plans to hold a vote to remove Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar (Minn.) from the House Foreign Affairs committee for anti-Semitic comments.
