Giuliani: Hutchinson ‘was never present when I asked for a pardon.’

Rudy Giuliani suspended from practicing law in Washington D.C.

Rudy Giuliani’s attempt to attack the credibility of January 6 committee witness Cassidy Hutchinson blew up in his face on Wednesday when he ended up making a self-incriminating statement about her not being present when he asked Donald Trump for a pardon.

Hutchinson, former chief of staff Mark Meadows top aide, told the congressional investigation panel that Giuliani and others asked for pardons.

Giuliani was upset by this revelation and took to Twitter to try and clear his name, but admitted that he asked for a pardon instead.

“The January 6 Witch Hunt Cabal has now exceeded even its prior fraudulent,” Giuliani wrote in the tweet. “The last witness was a reckless liar. Contrary to her false testimony she was never present when I asked for a pardon.

“Actually, I told the President I did not want or need one,” Giuliani added.

He later deleted the tweet.

Giuliani has repeatedly denied asking for a pardon from Donald Trump. He did so once again after Hutchinson’s bombshell testimony on Tuesday.

“Not only didn’t I ever request a pardon. I told my client, President Trump, that if I was offered a pardon, I would turn it down. Since I had done nothing wrong, there was no need for a pardon,” he told NBC News.
