GOP House candidate threatens Muslim lawmakers in Congress: ‘Leave before I get there’

Randy Fine, a Republican congressional candidate in Florida threatened Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, two Muslim lawmakers, telling them to leave Congress before he gets there.

In a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, Fine referred to himself as the ‘Hebrew Hammer,’ tagged both lawmakers and added “#BombsAway.”

“The “Hebrew Hammer” is coming. @RashidaTlaib and @IlhanMN might consider leaving before I get there. #BombsAway,” Fine wrote in the post while touting his endorsement from the Republican Jewish Coalition.

Fine, a state senator, is running to represent Florida’s Sixth Congressional District, which is currently represented by Mike Waltz. Waltz was chosen by Donald Trump to serve as National Security Advisor in his second administration.

Omar and Tlaib are two of three Muslim members of Congress and the first Muslim women to serve in the United States Congress.

Both lawmakers have been critical of Israel amid the war in Gaza. Last year, the House voted to censure Tlaib—the only Palestinian American in Congress— for allegedly “promoting false narratives regarding the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel and for calling for the destruction of the state of Israel.”

Also last year, Omar was removed from the House Foreign Affairs Committee over past statements she has made related to Israel.
