Rep. Greg Murphy (R-NC) claims he can prove that President Joe Biden was on drugs during his fiery State of the Union address earlier this year.
Murphy, the chairman of the House Doctors Caucus, told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo that he believes “from a medical viewpoint” that Biden was “jacked up” during his speech.
“He can’t stand and he can’t stand under the lights for that long, and I don’t think he can keep a concept in his brain for that long,” Murphy said.
“I believe they gave him something to help them sustain the lights and sustain the vigor that he had,” Murphy added. “That was not Joe Biden. I was in there, he screamed for two hours. He screamed for two hours, and maybe we can talk off-line and I’ll show you something that proves that.”
The bizarre accusation that Biden was on drugs during his SOTU has been floating around in MAGA circles since the president delivered a strong that undermined Trump and his allies efforts to paint him as senile and doddering.
The accusation resurfaced at a time when Biden and Trump both agreed to two debates on June 27 and September 10. Murphy told Bartiromo that Biden would likely need drugs again for the upcoming debates.
After Biden’s SOTU address in April, Trump said Biden was on cocaine during the speech and has called for drug testing before the debates.
