GOP lawmaker compares Biden administration to Osama bin Laden.

Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC), the GOP lawmaker who wanted a military takeover so Donald Trump could remain in the White House despite losing the 2020 election, compared the Biden administration to Osama bin Laden on the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attack.

Nearly 3,000 people were killed and more than 6,000 were injured on September 11,2001 when terrorists linked to the Islamic extremist group al Qaeda—founded by bin Laden—hijacked commercial airplanes and carried out suicide attacks in the United States. The terrorists crashed two of the planes into the World Trade Center in New York.

During an appearance on Steve Bannon’s podcast Monday, Norman compared the Biden administration to bin Laden in terms of the level of destruction brought to America.

“So, at some point, we’ve got to make a, a stand. I think we are gonna make a stand with the caucus and many others. Eli Crane being one of the real heroes of what we’re trying to do with government, but government is not gonna do it on their own,” he said, according to Newsweek.

“Osama Bin Laden, he did his part to destroy it from the air and the internal bureaucrats are doing their part to destroy it from the inside, unfortunately. And the Biden administration is front and center stage,” Norman added.

Norman previously made headlines helping Donald Trump’s efforts to overthrow the government after the former president lost the 2020 election.

Norman was one of 147 Republicans who voted to overturn the results of the election in Congress. He also sent a text to then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows urging him to tell former President Trump to declare “Marshall law” days after the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol and three days before Joe Biden’s inauguration.
