“I just wish her well, frankly,” Trump said.

Maxwell is currently facing charges for recruiting, grooming, and ultimately sexually abusing minors as young as 14 as disgraced billionaire Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged accomplice.

Republican congressman from Texas, Chip Roy was not comfortable with Donald Trump well wishes for Maxwell. He took to Twitter to critized his remarks, writing:

“This is unacceptably obtuse for a woman accused of the most morally depraved of crimes, @realDonaldTrump. She needs to be severely punished… and justice must be served for the girls she abused. For ALL involved.

But, supporters of Donald Trump was not having it.
