GOP lawmaker introduces legislation to replace Benjamin Franklin with Trump on the $100 bill.

Rep. Brandon Gill (R-Texas) has introduced a measure that would require replacing a founding father, Benjamin Franklin, with convicted felon, Donald Trump, on all $100 bills.

In a statement Gill, a first term lawmaker, claims “there has been no one who has done more to bring America into the golden age than President Trump.”

“Featuring him on the $100 bill is a small way to honor all he will accomplish these next four years,” he added.

Gill also posted a photo on Twitter of Trump’s official portrait overlaid on the $100 bill. Texas Rep. Troy Nehls (R) is a co-sponsor.

The proposal comes days after Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) introduced legislation to put Trump on a new $250 bill.

All this comes at a time of heightened economic uncertainty in the country brought on by Trump’s policies.

People are struggling to make ends meet and thousands of federal workers are being kicked out of their jobs by South African born billionaire Elon Musk, with Trump’s blessing.

Both legislations are unlikely to gain any bipartisan support in Congress. Furthermore, there are laws preventing living presidents from appearing on currency.
