GOP lawmaker jokes about Kennedy assassinations after RFK Jr revealed he had a brain worm.

Fresh off of praising racist counterprotesters in Mississippi, Rep. Mike Collins (R-Ga.) has found himself facing backlash again, this time for making a disgusting joke about the Kennedy family after independent presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. claimed a parasitic worm ate a part of his brain and then died in his head.

The New York Times reported Tuesday that in a 2012 deposition as part of a his divorce proceedings, RFK Jr said he began experiencing memory loss and ‘mental fogginess’ in 2010.

RFK Jr said a doctor told him that his symptoms was “caused by a worm that got into my brain and ate a portion of it and then died”.

In response, Collins wrote on X/Twitter: “You either die a Kennedy with a hole in the brain or live long enough to become a Kennedy with a hole in the brain.”

RFK Jr’s father, former senator Robert F. Kennedy, and uncle, former President John F Kennedy, were both assassinated in the 1960s and both were shot in the head.

Collins also landed himself in hot water last week when he praised Ole Miss counterprotesters who were seen on video mocking a Black pro-Palestinian protester with monkey noises.

“Ole Miss taking care of business,” he wrote in response to the video.

Collins has since walked back his comment, saying that he does not “tolerate any form of discrimination—racism or otherwise. It’s the opposite of what my faith teaches and it’s not personally how I treat people.”
