GOP lawmaker lashed out when reminded that Trump is a convicted felon: "So rude of you!"

Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) lashed out at Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) during a hearing on Tuesday after the Democrat interrupted him to correct his statement about Donald Trump’s conviction in New York.

“Listening to these smokescreens that my friends on the other side of the aisle are saying, they bring up the trial of Donald Trump, convicted felon. Really? By a judge that is a known anti-Trumper?” Norman said in a clip highlighted by Mediaite.

“A jury, a jury. Not by a judge,” Nadler corrected.

“Mr. Nadler, I’ve got the floor! If you gonna interrupt – Mr. Chairman, calm him down when he interrupts,” Norman said. “It’s my time and I’ll let you respond, but I’m tired of this. You talk over everybody. It’s so rude of you!”

Trump was convicted on all 34 counts of falsifying business records to pay hush money to am adult film star during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Instead of focusing on the evidence in the case, Trump and his Republican allies in Congress have sought to discredit the trial by attacking presiding Judge Juan Merchan over a $15 donation to Joe Biden’s campaign in 2020 and his daughter for working with a consulting firm that works with Democrats.

However, as Nadler noted it was a jury of 12 random people in Manhattan that convicted Trump, not the judge.
