Republican firebrands Reps. Lauren Boebert (Colo.) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.) are on the verge of a fistfight, one GOP lawmaker said.
“A fistfight could break out at any moment,” Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) told The Daily Beast.
Burchett, a fan of professional wrestling, said he was enjoying the standoff between the two MAGA stars.
“I am friends with both of them,” Burchett said. “It’s entertaining to think that a fistfight could break out at any movement. I kind of dig that.”
The two former allies have reportedly been feuding for months. But things took a turn last month when Greene called Boebert a “little bitch” to her face on the House floor. This was after Boebert introduced articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden and then leveraged a procedural tool to force a vote on her impeachment articles.
Greene confronted Boebert on the House floor and accused her of copying her articles of impeachment to which Boebert responded that she did not even read Greene’s resolution.
Greene was later kicked out of the House Freedom Caucus after the confrontation becoming the first lawmaker to be ousted from the Freedom Caucus since it was started in 2015.
Boebert was one of the lawmakers who voted for Greene’s ouster.
