Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) is demanding that lawmakers who used taxpayers money to settle harrassment claims he outed.
“Congress has secretly paid out more than $17 million of your money to quietly settle charges of harassment (sexual and other forms) in Congressional offices,” Massie wrote in a post on X
“Don’t you think we should release the names of the Representatives? I do,” he added with a clip from a House hearing on Donald Trump’s hush money conviction.
Massie’s post comes after the House Ethics Committee released their report after their investigation of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL.) into allegations of sexual misconduct and drug use with minors, or paid women for sex.
Gaetz has since threatened to return to Congress to expose any lawmaker who has used congressional funds to pay off victims of sexual misconduct.
According to Politico, some Republicans in Congress are already taking steps to carry out Gaetz’s revenge plot.
Last week, a group of Republicans began circulating a draft of a resolution that would direct the House’s Administrative Committee to file a report with the names of the lawmakers who used taxpayers money to settle sexual misconduct claims.
