GOP Rep. Paul Gosar defends woman killed while storming the Capitol.

Controversial GOP congressman Rep. Paul Gosar (Ariz.) defended Ashli Babbitt, a Trump supporter killed while storming the Capitol at a hearing on Wednesday.

During a hearing by the House Oversight and Reform Committee Gosar asked former acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen why Babbitt was “executed” and asked the name of the officer who killed her. Gosar called Babbitt “a young lady, a veteran, wrapped in an American flag that was killed in the U.S. Capitol.”

The Department of Justice has decided not to charge the police officer who shot Babbitt. The officer’s name hasn’t been disclosed. Federal prosecutors said there was “insufficient evidence to support a criminal prosecution.”

“My constituents demand answers. But the truth is being censored and covered up. As a result, the [Justice Department] is harassing peaceful patriots across the country,” Gosar said.

“Without accurate answers, conspiracies continue to form,” said Gosar who has been accused of spreading conspiracy theories about the 2020 election.
