GOP state lawmakers announce plan to remove Biden from ballots.

Trump tries to take credit for Biden's insulin price cap.

Republican lawmakers in three states have announced plans to remove President Joe Biden from the ballots in their states.

Pennsylvania state Rep. Aaron Bernstine, Georgia state Rep. Charlice Byrd and Arizona state Rep. Cory McGarr, are working together to remove Biden from the ballot in their respective states in the 2024 presidential elections for “his ‘insurrection’ at the southern border and his alleged corrupt family business dealings with China,” according to a press release obtained by Newsweek.

The lawmakers’ announcement follows the Colorado Supreme Court’s 4-3 decision Tuesday to bar Donald Trump from the state ballot in 2024 under the 14th Amendment insurrection clause.

The insurrection clause bars anyone from office who swore an oath to “support” the Constitution and then “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” against it.

The judges argued that Trump was involved in an insurrection by promoting false claims of election fraud and encouraging his supporters to storm the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 to prevent the certification of Biden’s victory.

“Colorado radicals just changed the game and we are not going to sit quietly while they destroy our Republic,” the lawmakers said Friday. “To be clear, our objective is to showcase the absurdity of Colorado’s decision and allow ALL candidates to be on the ballot in all states. To do that, we must fight back as Republicans against the communists currently running our great country.”

Other state Republicans have threatened to remove Biden from the ballot in retaliation for the Colorado decision.

“Maybe we should take Joe Biden off the ballot in Texas for allowing 8m people to cross the border since he’s been president, disrupting our state far more than anything anyone else has done in recent history,” Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick told Fox News this week.

There are no legal pathways that allow a state governor to remove a presidential candidate from the ballot. Passing legislation to kick Biden off the ballot is a long shot especially in Pennsylvania where Democrats control the House.
