Vice President Kamala Harris campaign announced on Friday that they raised $310 million in the month of July.
The sum includes the $200 million Harris raised in the week after President Joe Biden stepped aside as the Democratic nominee and endorsed her as his replacement at the top of the ticket.
The Harris campaign said the sum is the best grassroots fundraising month in presidential history, adding that two-thirds of the record haul came from first-time donors.
“The tremendous outpouring of support we’ve seen in just a short time makes clear the Harris coalition is mobilized, growing, and ready to put in the work to defeat Trump this November,” Harris campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said in a statement. “Our money is going to the work that wins close elections.”
The haul far outpaces the $138.7 million Donald Trump raised in July.
Overall, the Harris campaign enters August with $377 million cash on hand, well above Trump’s $327 million.
