Vice-President and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris is ahead of Donald Trump in the crucial swing state of Pennsylvania, according to a new poll.
According to the Susquehanna Polling and Research survey Harris leads Trump by 4 points in Pennsylvania.
The VP who entered the race last week after President Joe Biden stepped aside received 47 percent support in the poll to Trump’s 43 percent. Meanwhile, 3 percent of respondents say they will vote for Independent Robert Kennedy Jr and 7 percent were unsure about who they would vote for in November.
The race in Pennsylvania is extremely close. According to RealClearPolitics average of polls from the state, Harris has a small 0.7% lead over Trump in the state.
In the all important Senate race, the Susquehanna poll shows incumbent Democratic Sen. Bob Casey ahead of Republican Dave McCormick by 5 points (47%-42%). Ten percent of respondents say they are not sure who they will vote for in the Senate race.
The survey was conducted between July 22-28 among 600 likely voters in Pennsylvania. It has a margin of error ±4 percent.
