House Republican reportedly had to tell Trump his ‘big, beautiful bill’ cuts Medicaid.

Donald Trump had no idea that the massive bill he is pushing House Republicans to pass before his self-imposed July 4th deadline has significant cuts to Medicaid.

The bill calls for more than $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid, a joint federal and state health insurance program for disabled and low-income Americans, according to the CBO.

The CBO also estimates that the current version of the bill, which narrowly passed the Republican-controlled Senate on Tuesday by one vote, would result in 11.8 million people losing health insurance by 2034, with the majority of those people losing Medicaid coverage.

Several of the more moderate members of the House Republican conference has voiced their concerns about Medicaid provisions in the legislation.

During a meeting at the White House on Wednesday with some holdouts, Trump seems unaware that the bill he has been touting as a massive accomplishment makes significant cuts to Medicaid.

Trump reportedly told Republicans at the meeting that if they want to win future elections they should avoid touching Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security, NOTUS reported, citing sources with direct knowledge of the comments.

“But we’re touching Medicaid in this bill,” one member responded to Trump.

Asked for comment about Trump’s ignorance about what is actually in his signature piece of legislation, a White House spokesperson told the outlet that the bill “takes decisive action to protect Medicaid for generations to come by eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse in the program.”

“President Trump is committed to protecting Medicaid for the vulnerable Americans who rely on it most,” the spokesperson added.

Is he claiming to not be aware to SNAP cuts and that the cuts to Medicaid will directly impact and cause Medicare cuts. Why wouldn’t he know this?? Either he’s lying (AS USUAL) or dementia. It’s been the biggest issue the Democrats have been fighting the bill about. DAILY!!! No way he wasn’t aware soooooo???
