Hunter Biden slams impeachment inquiry in opening statement: “MAGA-motivated conspiracy theories.”

Jury finds Hunter Biden guilty.

Hunter Biden said his father has “never” been involved in his business dealings and slammed the House impeachment inquiry during his opening statement before the House Oversight and Judiciary committees Wednesday.

Republicans have accused Biden of benefiting and being influenced by Hunter‘s foreign business dealings while serving as president. They are yet to provide any evidence to support their allegations.

“I am here today to provide the Committees with the one uncontestable fact that should end the false premise of this inquiry: I did not involve my father in my business. Not while I was a practicing lawyer, not in my investments or transactions domestic or international, not as a board member, and not as an artist. Never,” Biden said in his opening statement.

“For more than a year, your Committees have hunted me in your partisan political pursuit of my dad,” he continued. “You have trafficked in innuendo, distortion, and sensationalism — all the while ignoring the clear and convincing evidence staring you in the face. You do not have evidence to support the baseless and MAGA-motivated conspiracies about my father because there isn’t any.”

Biden’s testimony comes weeks after Alexander Smirnov, the FBI informant whose claim is at the heart of House Republicans impeachment effort, was indicted for lying to the bureau about the Bidens business dealings in Ukraine.

Smirnov later told prosecutors that he received information from Russian intelligence officials about Hunter Biden.
