Hunter Biden made a surprise visit to Capitol Hill again on Wednesday during a House Oversight Committee meeting to consider contempt charges against him, and walked out as soon as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) started speaking.
House Republicans subpoenaed Hunter for a closed-door deposition related to the House impeachment inquiry into his father, President Joe Biden.
Republicans have accused Joe Biden of benefiting and being influenced by Hunter’s foreign business dealings while serving as vice-president. They are yet to provide any evidence to support their claim.
Hunter refused to comply with the subpoena, vowing only to testify publicly so Republicans cannot distort his testimony to fit their narrative.
Hunter crashed the House Oversight Committee meeting Wednesday as Republicans met to vote to recommend contempt charges to the entire House.
Video shows Hunter abruptly leaving the room when Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) acknowledged Greene for her comments.
“Excuse me, Hunter. Apparently you’re afraid of my words,” Greene said.
Greene showed nude photos of Hunter Biden at a congressional hearing last month. Biden’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell filed an ethics complaint in the House of Representatives against the lawmaker for the move.
