Donald Trump’s running mate Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) for some reason made a couch joke at a rally in Nevada on Tuesday as he is being dogged by viral memes about him once having sexual intercourse with a sofa.
The joke began earlier this month when a social media user posted a false claim that Vance’s bestselling memoir “Hillbilly Elegy” contained a confession that he once sexually violated a couch.
So, Vance had one job—do not mention the the word ‘couch’
Well, he did just that at the Nevada rally while discussing his wife Usha Vance.
“I have been the beneficiary, I have to say, of a number of strong women in my life, especially my beautiful wife who you guys saw earlier,” he said.
“Now, I would call her up here to come and speak, but then I think I’d have to sleep on the couch tonight, so I’ll leave her alone,” he added.
Critics mocked Vance on X for the unfortunate reference.
