Trump campaign senior adviser Jason Miller told CNN on Thursday that he did not know whether the former president “even saw the comment that was on there or simply the picture,” in reference to a sexually explicit meme the Republican presidential candidate reposted attacking Vice President Kamala Harris and Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
On Wednesday Trump reposted a meme showing a picture of Harris and his 2016 Democratic rival, Clinton, with the caption: “Funny how blowjobs impacted both their careers differently…”
Confronted about the lewd attack on CNN Thursday morning, Miller said Trump may not have seen the comment and even if he did, he has faced “100x worse.”
“I saw the social media post. I have not discussed that with the president. I don’t know if the president even saw the comment that was on there or simply the picture,” he told host Kasie Hunt.
“But I would say with regard to Kamala Harris, the attacks that have been levied by Kamala Harris’, both the campaign by Harris allies against President Trump, not just recently, but over the past year and a half, two years, ever since he came down the escalator, quite frankly, in the case of many left of center people, have been quite horrific,” he continued.
Asked if the attacks against Trump are as horrific as what the former president reposted, Miller responded: “A 100 times worse!”
Trump’s lewd post comes amid a deluge of racist and sexist attacks from him and his allies against Harris as they try to stop her momentum.
Since replacing President Joe Biden at the top of the Democratic ticket, Harris has surged in the polls and is now ahead of Trump in several recent national surveys and in swing states.
