Donald Trump’s running mate Ohio Sen. JD Vance is now the most unpopular vice-presidential candidate in modern history, surpassing former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
In the days after Trump announced him as his running mate, Vance had a net favorability rating of -3.3 percent (28.9% of voters viewed him unfavorably while 25.6 viewed him favorably), according to FiveThirtyEight aggregate of national polls.
As more voters were exposed to Vance on the campaign trail, the less they like him. And it did not help that Vance’s past comments disparaging people without kids resurfaced.
In the past, Vance called women without biological children “childless cat ladies” with “no direct stake” in America. He has also called for tax penalties for people without children and even suggested giving extra votes to people with children.
Now, Vance’s favorability rating has plummeted to -9.3 percent with 42.4 percent of voters viewing him unfavorably, and 33.1 viewing him favorably, according to FiveThirtyEight.
Being so far underwater makes Vance the most unpopular VP pick in modern history. He is now officially less liked than 2008 Republican nominee John McCain’s running mate, Gov. Palin, according to ABC News.
Though widely regarded as one of the most unpopular VP picks in recent times, Palin’s net favorability was -2 percent. Hillary Clinton’s running mate, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) had a net favorabilty rating of -4 percent on the eve of the 2016 election.
Meanwhile, Democratic vice presidential nominee Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is faring much better than Vance. Although both his favorability and unfavorability ratings have gone up since he joined the ticket with Vice-President Kamala Harris, Walz still has a 4.7 percent net favorability.
Hahahaha hahahaha you’re full of shit you unAmerican piece of shit. Go fuck yourself asshole.
