JD Vance’s cousin who volunteered to fight in Ukraine calls the VP and Trump “Putin’s useful idiots”

Nate Vance, the first cousin of Vice President JD Vance, labeled him and Donald Trump as Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “useful idiots.”

“Donald Trump and my cousin clearly believe they can placate Vladimir Putin. They are wrong,” Nate Vance told French outlet Le Figaro in an interview. “The Russians are not about to forget our support for Ukraine. We are Vladimir Putin’s useful idiots.”

He also condemned Vance for playing politics in the Oval Office “ambush” of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“When he criticized aid to Ukraine, I told myself that it was because he had to please a certain electorate, that it was the game of politics,” Nate Vance said. “But what they did to Zelensky was an ambush of absolute bad faith.”

Nate Vance spent three years fighting in Ukraine as part of the “Da Vinci Wolves” battalion amid Russia’s invasion of the country. He returned home in January shortly before Vance was sworn in asVP to not risk getting captured.

“I was disappointed. When JD justifies his distrust of Zelensky by the ‘reports’ he has seen, I thought I was going to choke,” Nate Vance said

“His own cousin was on the front lines. I could have told him the truth, without pretense, without personal interest. He never tried to find out more,” he said, adding that he left messages at Vance’s office but never got any response.
