Jim Jordan reveals he had COVID earlier this year.

Republican congressman Rep. Jim Jordan (Ohio) revealed in a recent interview that he had contracted Covid-19 over the summer, but refused to say if he’s vaccinated.

Jordan told Spectrum News he had the virus in the early part of the summer, recalling that he did not feel well while he was home in Ohio.

“I’ve had the virus, I don’t talk about my health status with reporters, but I’ve had the coronavirus and recovered, and actually had my antibodies tested, or had that antibody test done, and it showed that my antibodies were strong,” Jordan said. “In fact, the doctor said, ‘You’re in the strong category, you could donate plasma.'”

Asked if he knew when he had COVID-19 Jordan said, “I believe it was back early in the summer when, that’s when I didn’t feel well, was back when I was in Ohio.”

Jordan has been of the most outspoken critics of efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus. He has sparred with the nation’s top infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci who has continuously advocated for restrictive measures for slowing the pandemic.

“When do Americans get their freedom back?” Jordan asked Fauci during a hearing in April. “We had 15 days to slow the spread, turned into a year of lost liberties.
