Podcast host Joe Rogan declared that Joe Biden is “done,” citing a speech in which the president was actually quoting Donald Trump who praised the Revolutionary Army for “taking over the airports” in the late 1700s.
“If you had any other job, and you were talking like that, they would go, ‘Hey, you’re done,’” Rogan said, according to a clip posted by Mediaite.
But, Rogan was unaware that Biden was mocking Trump who said Revolutionary War troops “took over the airports” in his Fourth of July speech in 2019.
“In June of 1775, the Continental Congress created a unified Army out of the Revolutionary Forces encamped around Boston and New York, and named after the great George Washington, commander in chief,” Trump said during the speech. “Our Army manned the air, it rammed the ramparts, it took over the airports, it did everything it had to do, and at Fort McHenry, under the rocket’s red glare it had nothing but victory.”
Rogan was interrupted by his producer who pointed out that Biden was mocking Trump and played the part of Biden’s speech in which he said: “The same ‘stable genius’ said the biggest problem we had during the Revolutionary War is we didn’t have enough airports. WHOA…”
Rogan’s producer then played Trump’s remarks for context.
Notably, Rogan did not accuse Trump of being in cognitive decline, instead he claimed the former president “fucked up.”
His guest, MMA fighter Bo Nickal defended Trump, saying he misspoke then somehow blamed it on the media.
“That’s the thing about media these days, you gotta look into it,” he said.
