House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy will reportedly meet with Donald Trump in Florida on Thursday at his Mar-a-Lago golf club.
According to PunchBowl News, McCarthy is traveling to Florida for donor meetings.
Though McCarthy voted against Trump’s impeachment in the House, Trump is reportedly angry at McCarthy who blamed him for the Capitol riots.
“The president bears responsibility for Wednesday’s attack on Congress by mob rioters,’ McCarthy said. ‘He should have immediately denounced the mob when he saw what was unfolding.”
McCarthy also pushed back on Trump suggesting that Antifa is responsible for the attack.
He later walked back his comments blaming Trump for inciting the riot.
