Lara Trump dismisses polls showing Harris leading because people slip her “beverage napkins” saying they’ll vote for Trump.

Lara Trump is already calling the debates 'rigged'

Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law and co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), Lara Trump, suggests that polls showing Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris leading the former president are fake for one very weird reason.

In an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Tuesday, Trump argued that polls are wrong because she gets “beverage napkins” from fellow airplane passengers all the time saying they will vote for Trump.

A New York Times/Siena College poll published Tuesday shows Harris leading Trump by 3 points nationally, 49 percent to 46 percent. Last month’s poll had both candidates tied at 47 percent each.

The poll also shows that voters believe Harris is the candidate representing change in this election, 46 percent to 44 percent. It is the first time participants in the poll identified the sitting VP as the candidate of change.

“I don’t believe that poll at all,” Trump told Ingraham in a clip highlighted by Mediaite. “No one believes that there will be any sort of change with Kamala Harris. The people of this country are begging for Donald Trump to go back in that White House.”

Trump went on dismiss polls that are unfavorable to her father-in-law, citing an unusual methodology

“Our commander-in-chief, the leader of the free world. No one buys that Kamala Harris has the capability to do that job,” she said.

Trump continued: “Polls like that, I think, are absolutely ridiculous. I get slipped beverage napkins every time I get on an airplane saying, ‘We can’t wait to vote for Trump,’ ‘Go Trump,’ ‘Trump 2024.’ Or people just coming up to me these days, Laura, everywhere I go, saying how excited they are to get out and vote.”
