Larry Elder a Republican candidate in California’s gubernatorial recall election pledged to replace Democratic senator Dianne Feinstein with a Republican if he wins the state’s September 14 recall election.
Elder told conservative radio host Mark Levin that all the “white supremacists” including George Soros, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren and former California senator Vice-President Kamala Harris have all “jumped in” the recall election because they fear that he would replace Feinstein with a Republican and shift the balance of power in the Senate in Washington.
“They’re afraid I’m going to replace her with a Republican, which I most certainly would do and that would be an earthquake in Washington, D.C.,” Elder said.
He added that “nobody has seen Feinstein in weeks” and he was told “she is in a worst mental state than Joe Biden.”
California is one of 37 states that allows the governor to appoint a new senator on a temporary basis and doesn’t have any restrictions on what party that senator needs to belong to. However, Feinstein, 88 says she has no plans to retire from her seat and wants to finish her full term which ends in 2025.
