Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) is charging $250 for personal advice or a “pep talk” on Cameo.
“Hey, Cameo, it’s your girl from Colorado, Lauren Boebert,” the congresswoman said in the welcome video.
She continued: “Whether you or someone you know needs an America First pep talk, if you want to surprise friends or family with a message for a special day, or if you just want to know my thoughts on whatever’s on your mind, Cameo is the place to connect with me.”
Boebert joined Cameo after disgraced Rep. George Santos (R-NY) and just days after former Rep. Matt Gaetz joined the platform after withdrawing himself from consideration to serve as Donald Trump’s attorney general and confirming he will not be returning the Congress.
But, unlike Santos and Gaetz, Boebert is still a member of Congress and could land in hot water over her Cameo videos.
The House Ethics Committee allows members of Congress to earn up to $31,805 from outside income. Furthermore, under House rules, members are prohibited from receiving “payment of money or thing of value for an appearance, speech, or article.”
