Police in New York said 25,000 people did not attend Donald Trump’s rally in the Bronx as the former president’s campaign claim.
The rally in Crotona Park on Thursday night rally had a permit allowance of 3,500 people. However, Steven Cheung, spokesperson for Trump’s campaign said that 25,000 people attended.
But, law enforcement said about 8,000 people were in attendance, and even that number appeared to be inflated based on an aerial shot of the crowd aired on a local ABC affiliate.
“He’s a big fat bigot and he just doesn’t have any love in his heart for anyone, anyone of color, anyone who’s in the LGBTQ plus community,” a Bronx resident who showed up protest Trump’s rally told the outlet.
“He’s a crook, a liar, and a cheat. And he tries to make money off people. And that’s what he’s doing right now” a second protester said.
