South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham (R) was met with a chorus of boos at a Trump rally in his home state on Saturday.
According to Greenville News, Graham’s nearly six minute remarks was drowned out by boos from the audience at the Trump rally in Pickens S.C. despite the senator touting his endorsement of the former president in the 2024 election and his role in securing the conservative majority on the Supreme Court.
“Thank y’all for coming. Thank you very much,” Graham said in response to the boos.
Graham, who used to be one of Trump’s harshest critics, has since become one of the former presidents staunchest defenders in Congress.
“It took a while to get there folks, but let me tell you what happened,” Graham said Saturday. “I’ve come to like President Trump and he likes himself and we got that in common. And I’m gonna help him become president of the United States.”
One rally attendee told Greenville News that he is tired of Graham’s “wishy-washiness,” adding, “he doesn’t need to use Trump to get where he needs to go again.”
