Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is once again in hot water over comments he made this weekend on the campaign trail, about women.
During a campaign event in Conway, South Carolina on Saturday, Graham said women can achieve anything in this country if they are pro-life, religious and “follow traditional family structure.”
“You know what I like about Judge Barrett? She’s got everything. She’s just not wicked smart, she’s incredibly good. She embraces her faith,” Graham said. “I want every young woman to know that that there’s a place for you in America if you’re pro-life, if you embrace your religion and you follow traditional family structure that you can go anywhere, young lady.”
Last month, Graham made similar comments about black people. He said young black people are safe in South Carolina but only if they are conservative.
“I care about everybody,” Graham said “If you’re a young African American, an immigrant, you can go anywhere in this state. You just need to be conservative, not liberal.”
