Louie Gohmert compares FBI headquarters to ‘Sodom and Gomorrah,’ claims to receive several ‘whistleblower’ complaints about sexual misconduct.

Rep. Louie Gohmert announces he is running for Texas attorney general.

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) compared the FBI to Sodom and Gomorrah on the House floor on Thursday during a debate on the Merger Filing Fee Modernization Act, a bill to increase resources to antitrust agencies to rein in big tech companies.

Gohmert opposed increasing resources to the FBI because several “whistleblowers” have come to him with claims of widespread sexual misconduct within the bureau.

“I’ve gotten double digits now myself,” Gohmert said, referring to these alleged ‘whistleblowers’. “It sounds like Sodom and Gomorrah up there. We’ve got complaints this week about the sexual harassment, about sexual improprieties on the top floor, the seventh floor, where the headquarters is, of the FBI and all the favors and all the intimidation that goes along with sexual improprieties.”

Sodom and Gomorrah were two biblical cities destroyed by God in the book of Genesis for their sinful ways, including rampant homosexual behavior and sexually deviant acts.

Last month, Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) claimed 14 whistleblowers from the FBI came forward to speak with Republicans about wrongdoing at the bureau after agents executed a search warrant at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate to retrieve classified documents.

Just so we’re clear, the whistleblowers that allegedly went to Gohmert are separate from the 14 that spoke with Jordan. Neither men have provided any evidence to support their claim.

Still, Jordan brought up the claim on Thursday as a basis to oppose the legislation.

“This money is going to wind up in the DOJ and FTC, and we know their track record and how they’ve been treating the American citizen,” he said.

Despite Gohmert’s and Jordan’s opposition the Merger Filing Fee Modernization Act past in the House on a 242-184 vote.
