Fresh off a bout with COVID, far-right social media provocateur Laura Loomer falsely claimed that she lost her election by 20 points, roughly 80,000 votes in a heavily Democratic district in Florida because it was stolen from her.
Loomer ran against Democrat Lois Frankel, who has been a political fixture for decades in Florida’s heavily Democratic 21st congressional district. The only Republican to ever run against her, in 2016, lost by 27 percentage points, according to the Associated Press.
Frankel’s margin of victory over Loomer was so convincing that the networks called the race for Frankel on election night.
Yet, Loomer told conservative host Joe Pags that she was very close to flipping the seat in the November election but it was stolen from her in the same way the presidential election was stolen from Donald Trump.
“You got very close to winning, you were a real challenger,” Pags claimed.
“I won,” Loomer said. “I won, the election was stolen, just like it was stolen from Donald Trump. I won my election.”
