MAGA lawmaker wants to rename Kennedy Center after Trump.

Rep. Bob Onder (R-Mo.) is seeking to rename the Kennedy Center to honor Donald Trump.

The MAGA lawmaker introduced the Make Entertainment Great Again (MEGA) act in the House recently which aims to “designate the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as the ‘Donald J. Trump Center for the Performing Arts,’” according to The Hill.

In a statement, Onder called Trump “a patron of the arts and a staple of the pop-culture landscape.”

“I cannot think of a more ubiquitous symbol of American exceptionalism in the arts, entertainment, and popular culture at large than President Trump,” he added.

In the first month of his second term, Trump launched an unprecedented takeover of the Kennedy Center.  He fired board members who had been appointed by the Biden Administration and replace them with loyalists. He also fired longtime chairman David Rubenstein, then falsely claimed he was unanimously elected as chairman.

Since the takeover, ticket sales have plummeted and several major performers have pulled out of scheduled appearances at the Kennedy Center.

The bill comes after The House Appropriations Committee passed an amendment earlier this month that would rename the Kennedy Center’s Opera House to the “First Lady Melania Trump Opera House.”

Since returning to office in January, some of Trump’s most sycophantic MAGA acolytes have proposed legislations for the sole purpose of making him happy.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) introduced a bill to carve Trump’s face into Mount Rushmore. Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) introduced legislation to make Trump’s birthday a federal holiday. Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (Penn.) proposed renaming Washington Dulles International Airport as ‘Donald J. Trump International Airport.’ Florida Rep. Greg Steube also introduced the ‘Make Autorail Great Again’ Act to rename the Washington, D.C., Metro the ‘Washington Metropolitan Authority for Greater Access’ and rebrand its trains as the ‘Trump Train.’

There are all legislations to add Trump’s face to currency. Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C) went as far as to propose creating a new $250 bill and add Trump’s face on it. Meanwhile, Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) proposed replacing Benjamin Franklin on the $100 with Trump’s image.
