Kent Christmas, a far right pastor and self-proclaimed prophet, said God will soon kill President Joe Biden for awarding the Medal of Freedom to liberal philanthropist George Soros.
“This is what I believe the Lord is saying. There is a natural death that’s getting ready to hit wicked people in this nation. And God said, ‘I’m getting ready to remove,’ and God help the man who gave a Presidential Medal of Freedom honor to George Soros,” Christmas said in his sermon on Sunday, according to a clip highlighted by Right Wing Watch.
“I’m telling you by the spirit of the Lord, I hear God saying, ‘They have thrown down the gauntlet,'” Christmas continued. “And God said, ‘I have picked it up.’ … And the Lord said, ‘I’m going to begin to remove those, Hallelujah, who have sold their souls out to the enemy.’ And God said, ‘You’re going to begin to see wicked men begin to pass from the Earth because I am doing something in the new day by the spirit of the Lord to bring freedom unto the House of God.'”
Biden awarded the Medal of Freedom, the country’s highest civilian award, to 19 recipients at the White House on Saturday including Soros.
“George Soros is an investor, philanthropist, and founder of the Open Society Foundations,” the White House said in a statement. “Through his network of foundations, partners and projects in more than 120 countries, Soros has focused on global initiatives that strengthen democracy, human rights, education, and social justice.”
Soros, a Jewish Democratic philanthropist, has been the target of antisemitic attacks from right wing politicians and activists for nearly two decades.
