MAGA voter laments ‘devastation’ caused by Trump after losing her job.

A Donald Trump supporter in West Virginia has turned her back on the president after she was abruptly fired from her government job last month.

Jennifer Piggott, 47, has been working at the Treasury Department’s Bureau of Fiscal Service (BFS) in Parkersburg, West Virginia for five years and was recently given a promotion.

The moment that was suppose to be celebrated as an advancement in her career led to her downfall as it made her a target of the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) plan to slashing the federal workforce by firing probationary workers to cut cost.

Even though Piggott was already an existing worker, she was moving from one internal position to another which means she was on probation.

Now, the three-time Trump voter is telling Reuters that her days of supporting the president are over and other residents in her community are also questioning their unwavering support for the Republican president.

“I feel a little bit betrayed. There’s always that back-and-forth conversation now it’s like, ‘You knew this was coming,’ but we didn’t, like, nobody that I’ve talked to understood the devastation that having this administration in office would do to our lives,” Piggott said, adding that she would not have supported Trump if she knew then what she knows now.

“As much as I think that President Trump is doing wonderful things for the country in some regards, I don’t understand this at all,” she said.

The anti-DOGE sentiment has led to a rare moment of bipartisanship in the ruby red state (Trump won West Virginia with 70% of the vote) as both Republicans and Democrats protested near the BFS offices last week.
