Majority of voters, including Trump supporters, believe the Trump administration is covering up evidence about Epstein.

Here's what the Jeffrey Epstein documents say about Donald Trump.

A majority of Americans believe the government is covering up evidence in the Jeffrey Epstein case, including a majority of Donald Trump supporters.

In a memo earlier this month, the Trump Justice Department and FBI revealed that their review of the Epstein investigation found that there was no “client list” or evidence that he blackmailed prominent figures. The memo also said that Epstein died by suicide while in custody at a Manhattan correctional facility awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges in 2019.

Republicans, including several currently working in the Trump administration have long fueled conspiracies about Epstein’s associates and his death.

Now a majority of voters believe these same people are helping to cover up evidence on Epstein.

According to a YouGov/Economist poll, 67 percent of Americans believe ‘the government is covering up evidence it has about Epstein’ while another 25% aren’t sure.

After years of being fed conspiracies about Epstein, 59 percent of Trump voters now believe there is a cover-up, according to the poll.

Also, 79 percent of voters say the government should release all the files they have on Epstein while 5% say they shouldn’t.

Trump slammed his supporters as “weaklings” for calling for more transparency around the Epstein case in a lengthy post on his Truth Social app Wednesday. He also falsely blamed Democrats for creating what he called a “scam” and “hoax” to undermine him.

“Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bullshit’ hook, line, and sinker,” Trump wrote. “They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.”

“Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” he added.

Trump doubled down while speaking with reporters later Wednesday, describing Republicans calling for the release of more Epstein files “stupid” and “foolish.”

The YouGov/Economist poll was conducted between July 11 – 14, 2025 among 1680 U.S. adult. It has a margin of error of ±3.4%.
