A man wanted in Texas was arrested near the official residence of Vice-President Kamala Harris on Wednesday with guns and ammunition in his car, CNBC reports.
The man, 31-year-old Paul Murray of San Antonio, Texas was stopped by Secret Service a little after noon outside the Naval Observatory, which contains the Vice-President’s official residence.
Police said they arrested him in response to an intelligence bulletin that originated from Texas.
Officers found a rifle, ammunition and a large capacity ammunition feeding device in his car which was parked in a garage in downtown Washington.
Former Hill staffer Andrew Leyden uploaded the video of the arrest to his YouTube channel.
The second family currently lives at Blair House, near the White House while the Naval Observatory is being renovated.
Murray was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, carrying a rifle or shotgun outside of a business, possession of unregistered ammunition and possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device, CNBC reports.
