Earlier this week Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) complained that there are no lobbyist fighting for “the average white male” in America who is unable to climb the corporate ladder because of his race and gender.
In a video posted to social media by ‘PatriotTakes,’ Greene argued that lobbyists “are not bad people” because they’re just doing the job they were hired by “big corporations and industries” to do.
“The problem is there is not a lobbyist here for regular Mr and Mrs American, like mom and pops shops, the single moms trying to make it, the guy, the average white male trying to climb the corporate ladder when his problem is being white and male,” Greene said.
Greene has made similar outrageous comments in the past in defense of white men. Last year she said white men are demonized by society so they turn to extremism and “porn on the internet,” according to Huffpost.
She also claimed white men were being discriminated against in the workplace and are often “passed over” in the hiring process and job promotions because “woke corporations” have to fill their “minority quotas.”
That claim is not supported by facts.
