Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is ignoring House Speaker Mike Johnson’s call for restraint during Joe Biden’s State of the Union address.
Johnson told members of the Republican conference that “decorum is the order of the day,” during a private meeting Wednesday.
But in an interview on Fox News, Greene made it clear she will not be following Johnson’s instructions.
“Here’s what’s inappropriate – $34 trillion in debt. Laken Riley was murdered,” Green said in a clip shared by Mediaite. “I’ll argue that decorum has been destroyed here in Washington D.C. and in Congress. So, I think calling out the president if he’s lying to the American people is completely appropriate.”
During last year’s address Greene and Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) heckled Biden throughout his speech including when the President was talking about his son who died of brain cancer after serving in Iraq.
