Marjorie Taylor Greene racks up nearly $90k in mask fines.

Controversial Republican congresswoman Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has nearly $90k, more than half her salary, in fines for refusing to wear a mask on the House floor.

Greene has been fined at least 36 times for a total of $88,000 as of Jan. 11, according to documents her office shared with the Hill. The money is being deducted from Greene’s $174,000 annual salary.

House Democrats implemented the law last year to enforce the House mask mandate amid the coronavirus pandemic. First-time offenders are fined $500 and $2,500 for subsequent offenses.

Another Georgia Republican Rep. Andrew Clyde has been fined at least 25 times since September for a total of at least $60,500.
