Marjorie Taylor Greene say she feels “very sorry” for “hateful” liar Donald Trump.

Trump vows to "fight like hell" for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she runs for the Senate.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) fired back at Donald Trump during an interview on CNN in which she called the president a liar and “hateful,” adding that she feels “very sorry” for him.

“I feel very sorry for President Trump. I genuinely do. It has to be a hard place for someone that is constantly so hateful, and put so much vitriol, name calling and really tells lies about people, in order to try to get his way or win some kind of fight,” Greene told CNN’s The Situation Room hosts Pamela Brown and Wolf Blitzer in a clip highlighted by Mediaite.

“I think that’s exactly what’s wrong in America today,” she continued. “That’s what’s wrong in this toxic political environment that has ripped our country apart. And I personally think that that’s poor leadership from a president. It’s a very bad demeanor and Americans are very tired of it.”

Greene was responding to a post Trump made on his social media platform slamming Paramount and CBS News after her interview with 60 Minutes. In the interview, Greene said Trump isn’t living up to his “America First” motto, and blamed Trump’s rhetoric for death threats she received.

Trump responded by calling his former top congressional ally a “rotten apple,” “very dumb person”, “washed up” and a “low IQ traitor.”

It is the latest public spat between Greene and Trump whose relationship soured after the lawmaker joined calls from Democrats to release files linked to convicted sex offender and Trump’s friend Jeffrey Epstein, criticized the Trump’s focus on foreign affairs and called for Republicans in Congress to take action on the expiring Obamacare subsidies.

Greene announced last month that she will be resigning from Congress early next year.
