McCarthy claims on Fox that Biden wants to limit consumption of meat...days after Fox admitted it was lie.

Moments after President Joe Biden delivered his first speech to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday, that received mostly positive reviews, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy ran to his safe space on Fox News to tell viewers that President Biden is trying to limit their consumption of meat.

“He just continues, he wants control of your life,” McCarthy told Sean Hannity “He’s going to control how much meat you can eat. Can you imagine that?”

This comes days after Fox News corrected their false claim that President Biden’s climate plan includes a ban on red meat.

“On Friday, we told you about a study from the University of Michigan to give some perspective on President Biden’s ambitious climate change goals,” Fox News anchor John Roberts said. “That research, from 2020, found that cutting back how much red meat people eat would have a drastic impact on harmful greenhouse gas emissions.”

He continued: “The data was accurate but a graphic and the script incorrectly implied that it was part of Biden’s plan for dealing with climate change. That is not the case.”

The lie originated from a deceptive Daily Mail article that baselessly connected Biden’s climate proposals to a University of Michigan academic paper from last year that did not mention Biden or said anything about the government imposing dietary limits.

Biden has not proposed any limit on Americans’ red meat consumption. In fact, he has not proposed any limit on Americans’ consumption of any food, CNN noted.
