McCarthy cursed at Trump during phone call after he was removed as speaker.

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) reportedly cursed out Donald Trump for refusing to come his aid after he was ousted as speaker in October.

According to the Washington Post, McCarthy spoke with Trump on a phone call following his ouster during which the former president explained this reasons for refusing to denounce the Republican-led effort.

Trump’s lists of reasons include: McCarthy not doing enough to expunge his two impeachments and not endorsing him in the GOP primary, sources familiar with the call told Post.

McCarthy reportedly responded: “F**k you.”

The former speaker has been one of Trump’s staunchest defenders in Congress. He defended the former president amid his ongoing legal battles and even flew to Mar-a-Lago after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot out of concern for Trump’s health because he was “depressed” and “not eating.”

Trump repaid McCarthy by endorsing Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) to replace him as speaker, though it turned out to be an embarrassment as Jordan failed to secure enough votes to win the speaker’s gavel on multiple ballots.

A spokesperson for McCarthy told the Post that the congressman did not swear at Trump, while a representative for Trump refused to comment on the incident.
