Melania Trump reminds children and military families to "be kind" during the holiday season amid the coronavirus pandemic.

During her address to the children and military family families gathered on Tuesday at a Marine Toys for Tots drive at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, First lady Melania Trump reminded them that now more than ever, we should all remember to be kind.

“Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many Americans are spending the holidays separated from their loved ones and they have changed routines they have had for many years,” Melania said according to The Hill. “Remember that small acts of kindness such as calling your friends and neighbors and making holiday cards for nursing homes can go a long way in spreading cheer and helping those struggling with change. Let’s all do a part to be best during these difficult times,” she added.

Toys collected at the event will be delivered to children in need.

Her comments came months after secret recordings of her profanity fill rant about preparing the White House for Christmas was made public by her former adviser Stephanie Wolkoff.

“Where I am. I put — I’m working like a — my ass off at — Christmas stuff that you know, who gives a fuck about Christmas stuff and decoration? But I need to do it, right? Okay, and then I do it. And I say that I’m working on Christmas planning for the Christmas. And they said, ‘Oh, what about the children that they were separated?’ Give me a fucking break. Where they were saying anything when Obama did that?” Melania vented.
