Michael Cohen says Trump told him Don Jr. should go to prison rather than Ivanka.

Former Donald Trump lawyer and fixer, Michael Cohen claims the former president told him that if one of his children had to go to prison for the Trump business then it should be Donald Trump Jr., and not his daughter Ivanka Trump.

“You may recall that there was the district attorney’s case here for Trump Soho where it was either Don or Ivanka was in very big trouble as a result of lying about the number of units that had been sold,” Cohen told MSNBC on Saturday.

“And Donald said it to me – I mean I wouldn’t say it if it wasn’t said directly to me – he goes ‘if one or the other has to go to prison, make sure that it’s Don because Don would be able to handle it.'”

Cohen’s comments come amid growing legal pressure on Trump and his children from the New York District Attorney and the select House Committee investigating the Jan 6 Capitol attack.

NY AG Letitia James is taking legal action to force Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Ivanka to testify in an investigation into the Trump Organization after they found ‘significant evidence’ of fraud and the Trump children were “closely involved in the transactions in question.”

Meanwhile the Jan. 6 committee is asking Ivanka to voluntarily provide testimony since she spent considerable time with her father in the days leading up to Jan. 6, including witnessing a conversation between him and then- Vice President Mike Pence ahead of Congress’ certification of the 2020 presidential election.

“The Select Committee wishes to discuss the part of the conversation you observed between President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence on the morning of January 6th. Similarly, the Select Committee would like to discuss any other conversations you may have witnessed or participated in regarding the president’s plan to obstruct or impede the counting of electoral votes,” the committee wrote.
