“President Trump is fighting for YOU” and that’s why he’s going to send a manned mission to Mars and the Moon.
Up to this point, the Republican party refused to released an official platform for 2020. So on Friday, eleven days before the election the party chose to send out a series of tweets amplifying Trump’s re-election message.

Instead of focusing on the problems we are currently facing on Earth like the coronavirus pandemic or climate change, the Republicans are worried about outer space.
Twenty million Americans living with pre-existing conditions are fearful that if Donald Trump is re-elected they will lose their healthcare. His administration is in court trying to kill Obamacare with no clear plan from Donald Trump and the GOP to protect Americans with pre-existing conditions after nearly a decade. To assuage those fears the Republican party listed, space missions to the moon and mars as top priorities in Donald Trump’s second term. Taking care of Americans with pre-existing conditions is quite literally the last thing on their minds.
Sure, we are in the middle of a global pandemic, that is resurging in America and a tanking economy. But, at least Americans stuck at home with their children, unable to pay the bills will have access to ‘high-speed internet’ which their children will use to learn about the construction of ‘the world’s greatest infrastructure system’ when they attend ‘patriotic education’ classes on Zoom.
Nowhere in Donald Trump’s priorities for a second term did they list any of his plans to address the existential threat of Climate Change, which 64% of Americans say is a serious problem that should be address now. Both Donald Trump and Mike Pence have refused to even acknowledge this issue in their first term and plans to ignore it again if re-elected. Both Trump and Pence believe that the way to stop forest fires is to step up forest management efforts. How can they claim to fight for the American people when they are so out of step with what a majority of Americans believe?.
What’s even more disturbing is that the party claims these are just some of Donald Trump’s priorities. That implies that there are others to come, but they feel that these were the best ones to motivate their supporters to head to the polls and appeal to swing voters. So, just imagine what the other ideas are.
The Republicans party is out of touch with the reality here on Earth maybe that’s why they are searching for habitable areas in outer space.
