Murkowski slams Trump for his call to terminate the Constitution and make him president.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) slammed Donald Trump for saying the Constitution should be terminated and he should be reinstated as president.

“Suggesting the termination of the Constitution is not only a betrayal of our Oath of Office, it’s an affront to our Republic,” Murkowski wrote on Twitter.

Trump announced he is running for the presidency again in 2024 last month. He is considered to be the front runner for the Republican Party nomination for president.

In a post on his Truth Social app on Saturday, Trump called for the “termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,” due to “massive fraud” in the 2029 presidential.

The White House and a handful of Republicans, including Reps. Liz Cheney (Wyo.) and Adam Kinzinger (Ill.), have condemned the former president’s comments.
